Rob Bennet, one of our Field Supervisors, recently celebrated his 10-year service milestone with our company. We are very proud that we have many employees who have built a long-term career at Wallis, having progressed from entry-level roles to management roles within our business. Rob is a great example of someone who joined the company with no experience in the industry and is now leading our field teams.

Rob says:

“I moved from NZ to Australia in March 2012 and Wallis was the first job I got when I arrived. I’ve been here ever since. I began as a new starter and have made my way up to Supervisor within the 10 years. The job was completely new for me and there was a lot to learn, which kept me interested and motivated. When I started, I had a really good driller and crew, which set a very solid base for me to work from and progress. There are also a lot of different characters within the company which keeps things interesting, and I have met some great people along the way that have taught me a lot.

Through the years working for Wallis, I have learnt a lot of new skills ranging from drilling holes, maintenance , people management and working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds outside the industry.

I have made some awesome friendships while working for Wallis. The people I work with are the thing I enjoy most about working here and they are a big part of why I have stayed so long.”
