20 Years of Dedication – Congratulations, Chris! ????
This month we celebrate an incredible milestone for Chris Verran, who marks 20 years with Wallis Drilling!
Starting out with the plan of spending “just a few years” in the mining industry to set himself up, Chris’s journey has spanned two decades – and what a journey it’s been. From drilling across some of Australia’s most remote regions to venturing overseas, Chris says it’s the places he’s seen and the people he’s met along the way that have made it unforgettable.
Best advice he’s carried through his career?
“The first few swings are the hardest.”
Over the years, Chris has developed his skills and leadership, working his way up to his current position as Drilling Manager for the Iron Ore and Mine Services sectors. In this role, he plays a crucial part in overseeing operations, mentoring crews, and ensuring Wallis continues to deliver the highest standard of service to our clients.
