As we move into our new facility, we’re bringing more than equipment with us – we’re carrying decades of WA-built legacy. Among it all, a few of our oldest rigs are still standing strong. Little did we know, the old D11 still had some life left in her.
Introducing the Delta 11 – dating back to the 1970s – a true workhorse that has stood the test of time, built for both Aircore and Diamond drilling and delivering results with max depths of 300m (AC) and 700m (Diamond). We estimated Delta 11 clocking over 1 million metres drilled over the duration of its running period.
Built by George Moss, this Gemco H22 represents an era before Wallis brought rig manufacturing in-house. George Moss-built rigs played a significant role in the early Wallis days – including the mighty Delta One found in our reception area – forming the foundation of our early multi-tech builds. Aircore and Diamond- Max Depth AC 300m Collie, Diamon 600m, 1 million meters total
Over the years, Wallis has modified and rebuilt many of these rigs, upgrading components along the way. What makes this one special? It’s still running its original mast – a rare nod to its legacy.
A testament to Wallis Manufacturing.
Construction is the process of planning, designing, and building infrastructure such as residential homes, commercial and industrial facilities.
