Working for Wallis
At Wallis Drilling, we pride ourselves on being a 100 per cent family-owned company who look after and respects our employees.
Our flat company structure means less officialdom and hierarchy, and creates a friendly environment where everyone’s contribution and opinion is welcome. The company has a family feel and offers flexible working arrangements.
You’ll be part of a well-established and professional team and be provided with excellent opportunities for self-improvement and to learn new skills. As we have extensive overseas operations, there is also the opportunity to travel.
Many of our employees have been with us for over 10 years, 20 years and several have been recognised for their 30 years of service to the company.
Wallis is recognised by our staff and industry peers as a leader in drilling operations training and development; and we’re proud to provide opportunities for willing people to up-skill and progress their work and career aspirations.
Wallis Drilling employs:

A big commitment to training
Since we began 50 years ago, Wallis Drilling has always recognised the importance of training. Not just the certified training required for operational purposes, but the opportunity for all our employees to take part in advanced personal training.
We have qualified and accredited trainers in-house and can provide nationally-recognised certification in partnership with industry RTOs.
Some of these accreditations include:
- Certificate 2 to Diploma in Drilling
- Certificate 4 to Diploma in Work Health and Safety
- Certificate 4 to Diploma in Training and Assessment
- Certificate 4 to Diploma in Front Line Management
We also offer apprenticeships and traineeships as part of our commitment to the drilling industry; and we are proud to have been awarded the Swan Chamber of Business Apprentice/Trainee of the Year award for four consecutive years.
